These groups, developed in consultation with Dr. David Grand, are modeled after his NYC-based “Study & Consultation” group, of which Dr. Jacobi been a long-time member. Meeting once per month, all group sessions will include time for personal “check-in” and support, consultation (cases & consultation practice), and deepening study of Brainspotting theory and practice innovations. Each group will be co-creating its topics and use-of-time for the sessions.

The Rev. Martha S. Jacobi, PhD, LCSW is a Senior International Brainspotting Trainer and well-known seminar leader, speaker. and writer. With nearly 30 years of clinical practice and over 40 years in pastoral ministry, she specializes in working with survivors of profound trauma, with clergy and other spiritual leaders/caregivers, and in creativity and performance enhancement for artists, performers, and athletes. She is a Specialty Trainer in Brainspotting and Spirituality, Religion, & Contemplative Practice, and in using Brainspotting with children. Martha integrates her background as a dancer and musician into her practice and teaching. She is Associate Dean for the Brainspotting Concentration in Behavioral Health at International University for Graduate Studies. A Lutheran pastor, Martha is affiliated with St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, West 46th Street, Manhattan. She is the author of several chapters and articles related to Brainspotting in clinical and theological publications.. Originally from Ann Arbor & Interlochen, Michigan, she now lives and works in New York City.
